Repeat it with me now, children, and be sure to speak clearly: I will not install Quality of Service on the corporate WAN router without first consulting Feren. If I do opt to install QoS on the WAN router without consulting Feren, I will not tell the router that a T3 circuit has a maximum bandwidth of 512k, because that's 1% of its actual bandwidth and will surely FUCK THINGS UP!

And now, in closing, I'm now going to borrow a bit from [livejournal.com profile] hightensile:

Laughs maniacally.

Glad to be me...

After reading that, I'm so glad to be me. Of course I can pretend to say I understand how you feel but then, my work is way different than what you do. But I've been told that adults and children aren't much different in the long run. ;)

You guys need change controls.

If someone did that here, they'd get fired quicker than we could beat the shit out of them.

Yotogi prepares the Reaver of Souls to receive an engineer or three.

To clarify: we'd still beat the shit out of them.

Your cow-orkers do that to you too, eh? I too get to be the poor slob who ends up fixing things after hours. My favorite is when somebody checks in massively broken code and then goes on vacation for two weeks.

It does explain quite a bit, though. The interface graph you posted earlier had me scratching my head and mumbling, "Your latency is strange to me, outlander."

Let me guess... you had other links with a higher stated bandwidth and are running a routing protocol that kinda cares about that sort of thing?

Or is it really supposed to be prefering the frame relay circuit? I mean, come on! It's just a T3! :o)

(how do folks like that get enable access, anyway?)

BEATINGS!
