Waugh...

I was right: the core is b0rked, and the IOS upgrade made no difference. At 10:00 this morning it took another massive dump and killed itself. We've just implemented a backup core that we very luckily had, and Cisco is looking at the debug files to try and determine just what in the heck is going on here with the original system. This is messed up stuff.

Ow, dammit...

I was climbing around up on top of our system racks, installing new power cords for the redundant core, and I hit my head on one of the carriage bolts that hangs from the ceiling so that we can suspend our ladder racking above the racks. I gashed the top of my skull, lost some more hair and in general had my mood worsen another few degrees.

I need this weekend, oh yes.
