Carlin was a very talented cat who always kept his head in the right place. He was 90% social anthropologist and 10% comedian though "comedian" never really fit what he did. Carlin didn't write jokes--he was more the articulate, observant professor who had an extraordinary gift of language and presentation. Truly one of a kind.
