Settle an argument - French Fries

Dear Lazyweb,

foxish and I are having a bit of a disagreement, and I need you to show him how wrong he is.

FYI: This is settling the argument between Foxish and I. I know there are tasty fry options from other fast food (or not-fast food) restaurants, but I'm not looking for that information right now. What I need is a decision between these two competitors! So you have to choose who, between these two options, has the tastiest fries.

I voted McDonald's because I like them better. There isn't much fancy about their fries, but I usually prefer my fries on the plain and salty side, or really lightly seasoned side, not the spicy curly fries sort of seasoned. However, if they were plain and lightly salted AND curly, that would be even better. (Damn you I want fries now.)

I like the spicy curly seasoned fries too, yeah, but... plain and salty is just so damn good and it goes with everything.

PS: I'm stopping at the McDonald's up the street when I drive from the WDL office to the OBT office in less than an hour. ;)

Arby's curly fries are better under ideal conditions -- when you get them out of the fryer and they're fresh and hot. But the moons, for me, are rarely in that alignment.

I gotta go for Arby's here cause DAMN, those are good fries. Not that I don't crave me some plain flies too, but McDonald's loses points there because their fries suck so much. I have so many places I'd rather go to get plain fries than McDonald's.

Aw man, I probably missed this in time for callingses but I'd have been incapable of going for fries anyhow. Too tiiiiiired to really trust myself driving up the street. Trying to be awake long enough for the sun to set cause I'm tired of this whole 3rd-int-1st shifter type schedule crap! Makes it hard to go out and get things done. Easy for home stuff, but yeah, very little else. >_<

McDonald's fries SUCK.

Wendy's fries are the best of the major fast-food chains. Of course, I think them big and savory, not thin and crispy.

Portland has a local delicacy called "Jojos" - very thick fried potato wedges. OM NOM NOM NOM!

That was the main reason for my answer. Arby's curly fries have great potential, but lack the discipline to consistently apply themselves. McD's fries maintain a steady, predictable, if not outstanding work ethic.

McDonald's fries are just TOOOOOOOO salty! Talk about arteries clogging at the mere thought!
