... can sometimes be the most wonderful thing for the soul. I came home today to find Ra in my bedroom, with the bedroom door closed. Ra was of course wailing piteously at such horrendous mistreatment, although I privately suspect he did something worthy of detention. When I seated myself at the desk he leapt into my lap, purring up a positive storm. He hasn't stopped since then, either. He's just a big old bucket of purrrs right now, jealously occupying my lap and distracting me from typing. It's been made crystal clear that I am here to cuddle him, pet him and reassure him of his status as a Good Kitty.

Sometimes I adore him. I needed a welcome home like that, and nothing makes you feel more wanted than a lap whoring kitty.
