D'oh!

I knew I would forget something I needed for this trip, and I wasn't disappointed in that expectation. I forgot something so small and simple it's not surprising I overlooked it, but the end result is that I'm going to look mighty strange this weekend.

Oh well, I get to spend the weekend walking around in my dress shoes rather than my comfortable steel-toed boots. People don't really look at your feet that often, right? Right?

I agree with whoever said you should get some cheap sneakers. I got a supposedly-made-in-the-USA pair of very comfortable black sneakers with great tread a couple years ago at Wal-Mart for $20, and they're still in great shape. I've worn them about every other day.
