According to Winamp I have 1,708 songs that total over 82 hours of music (82 hours and 44 minutes) in my high-bit-rate MP3 collection. I find it amusing that I could load up my entire MP3 collection, start a sequential play on song number 1 and not hear a single repeat for over three days. Think about that, gang... you can't even get that with radio anymore!

Despite this rather pleasing discovery I still feel this overwhelming need to buy more music. I think a trip to the used CD store is in order when my next paycheck is deposited.

Heh, of course, that's not taking into account the phenomenon where you look over your music collection to decide what to listen to today, and you pass over nine tenths of your albums going "No... no... not that... no..."
