Hell is...
Feb. 1st, 2002 04:49 pm... spending four hours in a locked room with my ex-boss under the premise of "training" at my workplace. This man was released from the company with cause, but they seem to have no problem with him being the sales rep for one of our biggest VARs. I tell you, prolonged exposure to this man in these circumstances can turn even Ah-nold into a quivering mass of jelly. Far be it for me to tell my employer how to handle business practices, but this one seems a little shaky to me, and has really left myself and several of my coworkers alienated because we all felt uncomfortable with it and voiced objections to our employer (which were ignored, obviously).
I am very much ready for this weekend and some of the distractions that it will provide. Tonight I will go home, do some light cleaning around the apartment, and read. I'm currently working on Stephen King's Dreamcatcher which got off to a bit of a slow start but has turned out to be a most noteworthy novel. I will also probably hang around online, just because that's what I do to stay in touch with folks. And I will sleep. Oh sweet pale lord, I will sleep in tomorrow, and it will be good.
