Look kids, snow!

It must be March, because it's snowing. In Minnesota we had the theory that you couldn't have a March without March Madness. We further hypothesized that you couldn't have March Madness without a snowstorm of blizzard severity. In fact, it wasn't a hypothesis, I think it was something on the order of an immutable law of the universe: In Minnesota, during March Madness, it snows a great deal.

I'd never really paid attention after I moved to Illinois, but I'm starting to think maybe the same thing is true here in the Windy City.

I was introduced by an associate (mikosquirrel) on IRC to the live journal of tealfox because of a comment I'd made on the channel about my having to take time to correct manager stupidity. I can say in all sincerely after reading a rant about their job place that I can relate, for better or worse. I mean, how much more Dilbert-esque can you get?

I'm also afraid that somebody might bring the idiotic idea that spawned the aforementioned rant into my workplace. If it is brought in, I can see I'll be presented with the exact same situation, because it sure seems right up my manager's alley. Trivial, annoying, unrelated to work and utterly imperative that it be done by such and such a day's Close of Business.

I figured I'd just lift this from where I found it and paste it here, maybe it'll find its way into somebody else's Friends Page that's full of quizzes and give them a snicker. Or maybe it'll deliver a hint that maybe the quiz thing has gotten a bit tiresome. Of course, I've posted one or two of my own, so I guess this goes out to me as well....
