I was introduced by an associate (mikosquirrel) on IRC to the live journal of tealfox because of a comment I'd made on the channel about my having to take time to correct manager stupidity. I can say in all sincerely after reading a rant about their job place that I can relate, for better or worse. I mean, how much more Dilbert-esque can you get?

I'm also afraid that somebody might bring the idiotic idea that spawned the aforementioned rant into my workplace. If it is brought in, I can see I'll be presented with the exact same situation, because it sure seems right up my manager's alley. Trivial, annoying, unrelated to work and utterly imperative that it be done by such and such a day's Close of Business.

I have a friend suffering from a similar problem. He's considering dying his hair bright purple when photo day comes along.

Drastic circumstances call for drastic measures, I guess. I wouldn't have the balls to do that, I'm afraid. Hair coloring and I don't mix well (and no I will not elaborate that, either! ;) ).

To borrow from Dr. Evil, the whole scenario "is just ri-goddamn-diculous."
