I woke up this morning around 8:10 after Ra's dedicated efforts rousted me from my bed. I began with the daily chores of feeding Ra, feeding myself, feeding the fish and putting up the cat food. Once that was done I tossed my robe into my bedroom and prepared to take a shower. Just as I was stepping into the bathroom the doorbell rang. Typical! I had to ask through the window that the mail carrier give me "just one minute," then scrambled about as I tried to get dressed. I imagine he figured I was an absolute lunatic, but what was I going to do, greet him in the buff with a bit of wrapping paper to hide my shame?

So yes... the mailman showed up at 0815 this norming with a package, and then didn't even have the courtesy to make it the one from another country that I've been waiting impatiently for.

Ah well.

T-minues 6 hours and counting until I depart for Minnesota with boxes, bags and cats.

I've discovered that if you just omit the wrapping paper, that approach works remarkably well on Jehovas' Witnesses. I haven't got a house call in months.
