Back to the office...

... and back to the grind.

The first order of business today now that I am back on the job will be to sort the seven hundred and fifty e-mails that are sitting in Outlook right now. That's right, a mere two weeks of absence yields 750 e-mails, and that's just in my Inbox alone! Once I've removed all 745 pieces of spam and read the 5 legitimate pieces of mail I will go to work cleaning out the folders that hold the various mailing lists I'm subscribed to. I wonder what foolishness NANOG has waiting for me?

Every tech-wise internet user should have their own mail server with a badass implementation of SNIMTA running. It's disgustingly effective.

Oh, I run my mail services with an iron fist for my personal server (black-panther.us), but at work I don't have that much control because they're absolutely convinced that if we do any spam filtering we run the risk of losing a recruit, and That Is Simply Not Acceptable.

But I do like the idea of having Feren.org... aaah, blessed vanity.
