That's never good...
Feb. 17th, 2004 12:14 pmI heard my name over the loudspeaker, and instantly cringed because the plane that was pulling up to the rampway was decidedly not a 747-400. Here it comes, I thought. I'm gonna get bumped for some reason. Happily it was just a seat reassignment due to a last-minute equipment change. We're not flying out on the 747-400, now we're going out on a 777. So it is a little disappointing, but should still be fun if I can convince the talkative salesperson and my manager to let me enjoy the flight without dragging work into the mix.
Boarding starts in 12 minutes, and we depart in 30. Pretty soon I should be winging my through the friendly skies.

Date: 2004-02-17 11:02 am (UTC)I find that flights go better when I use earplugs. 20dB less engine noise, less kid noise, and so on. And who can argue with that? It would also, I expect, make telling someone that you don't care to converse in flight all that much easier.
