Memo to Roho...

Tallears, I will get you for doing this to me. I know where you live, I have a key to your house, your dog likes me and revenge will be mine if it's the very last thing I do.

For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, it all started with this Flash animation that roho coaxed me to download a couple of days ago. It's an animated music video set to the song "Move Your Dead Bones" by Dr Reanimator (to my understanding, the song originally was made for an accompanying live-action video that was included as bonus material on the Beyond Re-animator DVD). This fan video was created by zarla and seems to have hit official Internet Meme status with various demographics including furries, video game fanatics and slash authors. The animation features her original character (Zarla) along with a cast taken from such cult hits as Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, Final Fantasy, Silent Hill and others. The various characters are all dancing and ... well, just watch it and see. It defies description at certain points. Despite the animation's relative simplicity it's actually fun to watch and the music is catchy, perhaps because of how campy it is (and if you take into account the films that inspired it, this shouldn't be a surprise). It's probably the most enjoyable 3 minutes and 14 seconds I've ever spent on a meme.

The problem with campy, catchy music is that in some cases it is prone to lodging in your brain. Once there it absolutely will not leave and you find yourself humming it at very odd or inopportune times. You are hereby warned: if you watch the video and find that you become infected as well ... it's not my fault.

Let me give you some green color

It's funny, because I hardly recognized anyone else. Just that one jumped out at me.

I thought Zorn and Thorn were Hack and Slash from Reboot until I saw the cast frame.

I did that once with the Brunching Shuttlecocks Bjork Song. Only I did it at work. By the end of the day the supervisor had to restrain my coworkers from their attempt to entomb me alive under the raised lab floor.
