I think what you just saw are called floaters. It's basically crap that stuck in your eyeballs. If you're jolted (or get hit on the head) supposedly you can see them...

Yep, that happens sometimes. Just be glad you don't sneeze like me where you feel like you pulled 1/2 of your chest muscles while your body imitates a nuclear blast.
