Bicycles are apparently on everyone's minds these last few weeks. What the hell is in the water that I haven't been drinking?

So anyway, tonight I read this entry about bicycles in San Francisco (from our lord and master of the DNA Lounge, jwz) and got a few guffaws out of it while doing so. Perhaps unsurprisingly I immediately thought of you, hypersnazz. I wouldn't suggest leaving your thoughts on his journal, he seems quite agitated as it is, but I'm curious what feedback you might have on the topic.

The heartbreak of the comment size limitation has bitten me before, yes. What a complete pain in the ass that is!

Quite accurate, I think. I have a regular Mongoose that's only of use on trails. (GODDAMNED DIRTBIKE RUTS ARG!!)

Roads around here are very unfriendly to bikes. No shoulder, if any, so you end up being blasted by the wash of passing SUVs, and feel like you're walking in a train tunnel with trains going by. That you Should Not Be There unless you're surrounded by steel and air conditioning.
