Continuing my obsession with neon signs. This classic Arby's sign fascinates me, and I actually wouldn't mind going back to shoot it again so I could have some fun with the wholly intact neon on the other side.

There's another one of these awesome signs on Grand Avenue in Franklin Park. Between the two signs, they may even have a full complement of lights.

You're going to have to show me! I saw the "Low Cost Liquors" or whatever it was off Montrose when we were heading to your place on Sunday, but I didn't know if the sign worked and how the neighborhood was after dark...

Oh.. while I'm thinking of it. Am told there's a "neon graveyard" in Las Vegas. Haven't a CLUE what that is, but I think we're planning to visit it during my Vegas birthday trip next month. Will attempt pictures.

I'm not sure what you mean by the neon being "still," wanna clarify that for a cat who hasn't had enough coffee this morning?

I've heard of the "Neon Boneyard," and they have tours and such that I'd love to take -- bring your camera, let me know what you think of it! I'd love to see it not because of my neon sign fascination (I'm more about photographing the signs when they're lit up at night) but because it seems like an amazing example of ruin and decay, which is another one of my photographic/personal fascinations.

This is the Arby's in Pittsburgh where my grandpa took me before staying at his house and watching much Dukes of Hazzard and Dallas, and then him making me a burger before going to the high school football game on Saturday afternoon.

I realize this is a weird thing to say, but. . . I really miss that old "It's Better Out Here" campaign. Maybe because they replaced it with a tacky talking oven mitt.
