Tonight is a three-fer from my archives, all shot at an abandoned and ruined farm not far from my house in Bolingbrook, IL. These are all from way back in the year 2005, a long time before I got my beloved Canon 40D! The camera I had at the time may not have the megapixels nor the features of my favored frame, but it still did a fantastic job when I got things "just right."

This wonderful abandoned farm and its many buildings were torn down shortly after and, much to my relief, NOT made into office buildings or condominiums. Instead, the local nursery and landscaping company has made it part of their tree farm.

Damn. I really need a nice digital camera, so I can get back to taking interesting photographs again. These look awesome.

You don't need "nice!" Just "decent." I shot these with a Minolta DiMAGE 7 camera, which is a far cry from my much-beloved Canon 40D. As I commented on Maine Sunset, it isn't the megapixels that count -- it's how you use them. To further reinforce my point, I've seen some fantastic work that was done with a single-use disposable camera.

In the end, format or brand or technology aside, what matters is that you go out and shoot!
