I got the pickup back!

And wow, it just looks positively beautiful. Pictures will be taken to show the new side, the new mudflaps (all four are new!) the new bumper....

Butch and his boys really outdid themselves. I'm impressed and very happy with the results.

Something Good: My pickup is back home!
Something Bad: I had to pay the $3133 up front to take delivery
Something Disturbing: I was able to put it on one credit card that was already carrying a large balance.

You're not kidding. Evidentally it came within $500 of hitting the insurance company's figure for qualifying as a total. That would have been such a waste...

Unlike the Camaro, which was what, $3000 away from the damage for a total? Of course, that was $3000 more than was needed for a total, but you can't expect the auto insurance companies to notice piddling details like that :P

Good call, but it already looks like Feren is busy all February, and March is bad for me, but...

The World Horror Convention is in Chicago the weekend of April 11-14, which I will most certainly be attending. I was thinking of coming down a day or two early and/or staying late. Is everyone available around then?
