Well, it's because I failed to satisfactorily meet one completely arbitrary piece of criteria they'd set (if you're incredibly bored and curious, feel free to let me know and I'll give you the dirty details). I suspected that said issue might cause me a snag, but I was hoping not. I have been given the option to appeal their decision against me, but after reading the sheet that lists the requirements to do so, and seeing he hoops I'll have to go through to get the paperwork necessary to file the appeal I've decided to just not bother. Thanks, but no thanks, I don't have the time or desire to go digging through all this crap just to get some bogus little appeal filed that they will likely just turn down again anyway.
So now I have 1,000 rounds of .357 ammunition sitting up at Jim Groat's place that I can't bring down here, and I can't transport the weapong to shoot said ammunition into the state. That's just great.
