An surprisingly nice end to my weekend.

I was expecting to just slump into bed tonight at my usual time, but that didn't quite pan out. Instead of tucking under the sheet and conking out for the night with Ra between my feet, I made a phone call -- which just finished, after going for more than an hour. For me, any call that goes more than 30 minutes is for all intents and purposes a marathon... I don't even talk to my parents for more than fifteen or twenty minutes at a go (mental note to self: endeavor to fix this). What's nicest is that I really enjoyed myself throughout the conversation. The topics ranged from the playful and silly to the serious and thought-provoking. I'm doing a lot of reflection at this point, but it's all good things I'm reflecting on. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

As I wrapped up for the night I realized just how much I've missed these phone calls. I'm glad -- and lucky -- they've returned.
