Experiment.
Jul. 31st, 2002 09:46 pmKnown fact: Alcohol is a depressant. It inhibits brain function.
Known fact: I'm not sleeping well, my brain appears to be in part at fault.
Theory: Given the two above known facts, I hypothesize that If I drown my brain with liquor tonight, I will sleep better.
The results? I'll tell you tomorrow. Now, if you will excuse me, I must go join citrus vodka to iced tea.

Date: 2002-08-01 06:22 am (UTC)I recommend tincture of valerian, as an occasional sleepydrug: a half-dropperful, held under your tongue as long as you can stand it, then swallowed. It's stronger than alcohol for me (and I've got a very low tolerance for alcohol).
Nyquil or other nighttime cold drugs, or even sleeping pills, might work as well.
None of these are good to rely on for any great length of time, but once in a while they're OK.
I think..
