I saw a link on Plastic.com to this report about some stupid couple suing Kelloggs because their unattended Pop-Tart caught fire and burned their house half to the ground. I took one gander and decided that this, my friends, this is why I believe our society to be corrupt and beyond help.

Shit, I thought by now everybody knew that unattended poptarts will catch on fire [especially the strawberry ones]. Don't these people read Dave Barry (http://www.miami.com/herald/special/features/barry/)? If you're that stupid, you don't deserve to have nice things, like a house, or a toaster.

I think this is just an example of the 2-percent rule in action (one must be 2% smarter than the tool one is attempting to use).

It should come as no surprise that many Americans are not 2% smarter than a toaster and/or a breakfast pastry.
