Further Exasperated
Jan. 29th, 2002 08:44 amRemember that rock that hit the windshield of my pickup on Sunday night? The one that left a star bigger than a nickel? Well, its work wasn't done there -- it caused more damage than I thought. On the drive in to work this morning I noticed a four inch long crack in the windshield, just above the driver's side windshield wiper. Worse yet, it was bigger when I pulled into the office parking lot.
Christ on a semi-automatic crutch.
I can still remember how that music used to make me smile

Fuck
Date: 2002-01-29 06:49 am (UTC)Over the next couple days, I got to watch a horizontal crack slowly form across my windshield as I desparately tried to find a place that would sell me a new windshield for less than the standard 'you must be rich!' markup.
I know trucks are a vital part of the economy, and I know truckers don't have an easy job, and deserve more respect than they get...but sometimes, for all the miscellaneous shit they kick up/drop (rocks, huge plates of ice, cargo debris, once I was even behind one that blasted my finish with a steady mist of gritty sand), I wish the trucks themselves had their own roads.
Hey, it'd probably make them happier too...wouldn't have some some idiot driving a motorized rollerskate (of the Z3 variety, or similar) cutting them off with 6 inches to spare.
Stitch in time?
