Wasted morning.

0400 -- Wake up.
0445 -- Arrive at office to perform network switch upgrade on 11th floor.
0530 -- Declare switch upgrade a failure because some jackhole turned the switch closet into a textbook storage area and locked it with a key I do not have on my key ring. 30+ minutes of searching random desks on the floor did not turn up a key that I could successfully use on the lock.
0531 -- Hate everyone, wish to drink heavily.

Paid vacation from work!

A few weeks back I received word that I'd been summoned to serve as a juror. Today I didn't need to go in as I wasn't selected.. but when I got home from work this afternoon? Those magic words came on the line when I called in... and I am to report to the court house tomorrow.

Good: I get a paid vacation from work! (Yes, it's only $17.50/day or whatever but $EMPLOYER compensates for jury duty days)

Bad: There is no bad.

Disturbing: I'm quite possibly going to take part in a jury. A jury is supposedly composed of somebody's peers. Wait, they actually think I'm somebody's PEER?
